At Sakura-Con, the panel for ADR studio New Generation Pictures let slip a few interesting details regarding Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny and the status of it and Hellsing when it comes to dubbing.

According to studio co-owner Jonathan Klein, Geneon USA and ADV were locked in a typical bidding war for Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny last year before ADV’s near collapse, and Geneon USA was shuttered.

Because of those events, Media Blasters was able to swoop in and grab the license, and reps even went as far to state that the original cast would return for Dragon Destiny before remaining silent on the issue to this day, which leads to the second point being that Klein has confirmed that they are not dubbing the title, nor do they know of any other company that is doing ADR work for it.

Regarding the future of the Hellsing OVA dub, Klein stated that the series is in semi-limbo in terms of new episodes being distributed in North America, casting uncertainty on the future of the series in the US.
