Funimation's Sales Increase in Q2, Navarre Posts Small Profit

Funimation logoFunimation parent company Navarre has reported that Funimation sales were up during the second quarter, with total sales for Navarre’s publishing division, which includes Funimation and Encore being down 26% compared to the same period in 2008 with more than half of the decline being attributed to the shutdown of the BCI subsidiary during the period and a “soft new release schedule for anime”.

Navarre also earned a $2.3 million profit during Q2, compared to a $44.5 million loss during the same period last year and reduced its debt load by $25.7 million or 56% vs. the same period last year down to $19.9 million.
