NTTDoCoMo to Trial EBook Service on Android Next Month

Humberto Saabedra

NTT DoCoMo has announced that it will trial its new ebook service from late October to December in Japan, after demonstrating the service at the CEATEC technology trade show early next month.  The trial will span 50 titles of manga, books and magazines expanding to over 100,000 titles once it officially launches next year on the carrier’s line up of Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and the HTC Magic.

The carrier had previously announced another similar service via its NTT Solmare subsidiary for the iPhone earlier this year intended for rollout outside of Japan.
