X-Japan – One Night Only: January 9th, 2010 (Updated)
Humberto Saabedra
Just got word that X-Japan will be playing an exclusive show in Hollywood on January 9th next month. Not much more than that, but followups will follow after some phonecalls.
X Japan is the seminal Japanese metal band known for pioneering the visual kei style of Japanese metal that is known for its heavily glamourized makleup, costumes and visual style contasting against melodic thrash metal and ballads, with musician Marty Friedman counted amongst their many fans in the international metal scene.
Update: The portal JRockNation has been opened and features more details on the event next month, which will be a marathon music video shoot in downtown LA and also hosts a form to participate in the shoot. The video shoot will feature an appearance by all of the surviving original members of the band, but will not be a live performance.
