Shuho Sato Seeking Volunteer JP/EN Translators on Twitter

Humberto Saabedra

Manga author Shuho Sato is seeking volunteer Japanese to English translators for his current work in “Say Hello to Black Jack”, ostensibly by posting pages on the TwitPic image upload service.  This follows his move to self-publishing last year via paid micro transaction model, previously reported on as well as his issues with the current state of manga publishing for authors.

This marks the first time in recent memory that a Japanese author is actively seeking volunteers for the purposes of translating an ongoing work into another language without intermediaries.
