The creator is also known for Okama Hakusho (Transvestite Report) and Voyeur/Voyeurs Inc (released by Viz Media) with his most famous work in Ichi the Killer, which was turned into an anime titled Ichi The Killer: Episode 0 with a voice cameo by the creator and distributed in the US by the now defunct Central Park Media.

The most famous and well-known work based off of Yamamoto’s original creations is an ultraviolent and transgressive live-action adaptation of Ichi the Killer helmed by director Takahashi Miike and released by Media Blasters.
