Ghibli MuseumStudio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki revealed on his Ghibli Asemamire radio program this weekend that studio co-founder Hayao Miyazaki is animating a new 10-minute short without dialogue for the Ghibli Museum.

Miyazaki is working on the key animation himself since other key animators are working on Ghibli’s next feature film, Karigurashi no Arrietty (The Borrower Arriety) by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, which is being released this summer in Japan.

Miyazaki has been planning the film since July of 2008, but Miyazaki is not directing the next film as revealed by producer Suzuki last year in another episode of his radio show.
