Fractale Simulcast Returning on Monday? (Updated)

Looks like the Fractale Production Committee came to its senses, as the Hulu show page for the Noitamina series mentions that the second episode would be posted on Monday January 24th.

This follows uproar in the anime community last week following the suspension of the simulcast due to the committee’s irrational stance that all illegally distributed copies of the first episode were to be removed before the US simulcast could continue, with some calling it vindictive and short sighted.

This touched off a lot of anger, as the European simulcast was allowed to continue as normal without the double standard set by the committee regarding the monitoring and elimination of illegal distribution.

Update: Funimation has issued the following statement –
In recent days we have been diligently tracking the online illegal distribution of the anime series Fractale and on behalf of the rights holders we have been taking the appropriate legal action. As a result, we now have the approval of the Fractale Production Committee to stream episode 2 of the series starting today. We will make the episode available at 10:45 a.m CST and we are pleased to be able to continue the Fractale simulcast each Thursday as planned.
