ImageAccording to the latest sales figures published by Japanese site Shinobi no Emmacho, the Blu-Ray release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete beat 2008 Blu-Ray sales records by becoming the first release to sell 100,000 copies on the first day of release, no doubt helped in part by the bundling of the playable demo disc for the forthcoming Final Fantasy XIII RPG expected to launch at the end of the year in Japan and 2010 in the US on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete release also includes 30 minutes of new footage, the anime adaptation of the Final Fantasy VII mini-novel spinoff On the Way to a Smile Episode: Denzel, and the new “Safe and Sound” theme song performed by original theme song singer Kyosuke Himuro and My Chemical Romance band co-founder Gerard Way.

The US release of the film is slated for June 2nd. You can pre-order or purchase below.
