ImageDuring the CAPTIVATE 09 showcase hosted by Capcom this week, the publisher let loose the first details on the Fate/Unlimited Codes fighting game, itself based on the Fate/Stay Night visual novel.

In an unexpected turn after announcing the game for a Summer release in Japan, Capcom has also confirmed that the game will be released this Winter as a download-only version in the US for the PSP priced at $29.99, marking the first time a Fate/Stay Night related game has been made available in the US.

Update: Capcom representatives have confirmed Fate/ Unlimited Codes for Europe, also as a download-only title for release in the same timeframe as the US version while stating their intentions to continue support for the UMD disc format.
