Juuden-chan

AnimeNation’s News Editor and Columnist John Oppliger has written an interesting observation regarding the third episode of Fight Ippatsu Juuden-Chan in which the male character in Sentou Oumi regularly beats his female subordinate Arresta to the point where she exhibits exaggerated traits that resemble battered woman syndrome.

The show also positions the male as the requisite role model, bringing up a raft of ethical concerns regarding the content of the episode as Crunchyroll is positioning the show for general audiences despite having content meant for more mature audiences and questioning the decision to position it as such, noting that there are serious morality issues with such imagery when the show is being targeted to younger viewers who may not fully understand and comprehend such reprehensible adult behavior.
