Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block has confirmed in its infamous between show bumpers that it has “lost the rights to Death Note and Blood+” adding, “We’re just clearing house for goodies from our last Tokyo visit. We can’t tell you anything yet, but we think we bought three series [maybe].”
Cartoon Network ended its broadcast run of Death Note by showing the last five episodes in a marathon on early Sunday morning. Adult Swim’s Monday morning bumpers also noted that Bleach earned a rating of 341,000 viewers among the 18-34 demographic on Sunday, January 3 at 1:00 a.m.
