Sprint Delays Treo Pro Launch

According to an internal memo passed to Best Buy employees this week, Sprint has pushed back the launch of the Treo Pro smart device to February 15th for as yet unknown reasons, although Sprint representatives had stated earlier this week that the device was still undergoing the final phases of testing before launch.

1,900 units were sent in total to Best Buy stores and are still being held back until February 15th with the delay also affecting other Sprint sales channels, as the memo goes on to state that neither Sprint nor Best Buy will be allowing activation of any retail Treo Pro devices before the new launch date.

This new development clears up initial confusion this past week when Sprint inadvertently added the Treo Pro to its sales page before its then current launch date of Sunday, January 25th.
