Straight Talk Adds Data To BYOD For New Promotion

Straight Talk has quietly announced a new promotion that adds extra data to its $45 monthly plan meant to draw in new customers. With a currently unspecified ending date, the virtual operator is offering 5GB of monthly data access for the above monthly rate, so long as you take an unlocked device to the carrier as a new customer. However, current customers are also confirming the extra data being added to their accounts without having to call customer service, suggesting that it may be a major change.
