Sprint Announces LG G Flex for January 31st
Humberto SaabedraFollowing up on the Sprint Easy Pay announcement, Sprint has also announced one of the first devices that will be able to be purchased under the program in the LG G Flex. The phone will be offered at the end of the month for $299.99 under a conventional 2 year agreement and under the Easy Pay program for a down payment of $149.99 with 24 equal payments of $20.84 per month, and a final payment of 20.68. Sprint has launched pre-orders for the G Flex beginning today and will be available in Sprint retail stores starting on February 7. Those that pre-order will also get a free Quickwindow Folio Case, which regularly sells for $59.99.
The phone features a 6-inch, 720p curved Plastic OLED display powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM with a 13-megapixel camera housed above the two rear control button layout from the G2 with a new curved battery design, though it does not feature a microSD slot. The G Flex’s other claim to notability is that the phone features a self-healing coating that can repair hairline scratches on the rear of the phone to keep the phone looking new longer. LG has stated they are repaired “within minutes.”
