Peek Giving Customers Complimentary Peek9 After T-Mobile Shuts Down Peek/Pronto Service

Humberto Saabedra

Peek has announced in a Thursday posting on its blog that due to the sudden shutdown of T-Mobile service which is required for the first generation Peek and Peek Pronto email devices to operate, it will give affected customers a complimentary Peek9 device as a replacement for no additional charge.

As the Peek9 uses a different service provider to provide email and connectivity services, the newer devices are not affected.  Peek has begun to send emails to those Peek/Peek Pronto owners with instructions on how to claim the Peek9 unit.
