Parts of 4chan Being Blocked By AT&T, Tech Support Claims DDOS Issues As Excuse

I’ve been able to confirm along with several other users (as well as moot) that certain parts of the 4chan imageboard are being actively blocked by AT&T across all high-speed connections with all boards on the img server being blocked.

Calls to tech support are dead ends as neither Tier 1 or Tier 2 are aware of the issue, with the best remedy being to cancel service and filing an FCC complaint regarding the issue, as the organization has ruled that no ISP may actively block access to any type of information thanks to the Comcast/BitTorrent case making any type of blockade illegal as well as unethical.

For its part, Tier 3 support is now stating that /b/ specifically is being blocked due to the recent spate of DDOS (Direct Denial Of Service) attacks costing the service provider money to deal with, which does little to justify their position in the light of the aforementioned ruling.

If you have been affected by AT&Ts actions, the FCC provides a complaint form to file a complaint against the provider for the denial of access. I would also suggest canceling service in protest of the blockade as no ISP has the legal power to decide what can and cannot be viewed.
