Nexus One for AT&T and Sprint Evidence Surfaces
Humberto SaabedraBesides the confirmation that Verizon would be getting its variant of Google’s Nexus One in the Spring, more evidence has surfaced that AT&T and now Sprint will be getting their own variants as well this year.
First, in an ecare exchange, a Sprint representative had this to say when a customer specifically asked about availability of the Nexus One on Sprint:
“Thank you for contacting Sprint regarding the nexus one. Unfortunately, this handset model is not on offer as of now.
Once it is launched, you will see promotional campaigns related to the launch date, cost and the features of the handset on our Web site and other promotional media.”
Verizon is getting the first CDMA version. Only question is when Sprint gets theirs. Yes, I know Sprint’s eCare can be the worst when it comes to actual knowledge (especially on internal policy), but this makes too much sense.
Second, the FCC revealed a new model of the Nexus One in its filings with a different model number and support for US/Canadian 3G on the 850/1900 bands.
