Moot Joins Venture Fund as Advisor, Ignores 4chan

Well, this certainly explains why moot doesn’t care about 4chan very much lately.Christopher PooleTechcrunch is reporting that moot, a.k.a Christopher Poole has joined the New York based seed fund Lerer Ventures, ostensibly to boost his visibility as he works on his new Canvas venture and securing more funding along with assisting the fund to look for potential startups.

He will have the power to approve deals, but what makes this interesting is that the fund would be reaching out to Poole to look for more investment opportunities since it looks like they’re looking for the next 4chan.

There’s still no new news on Canvas, but with the increasing stagnation of 4chan on top of its increasing shift to the mainstream it looks like moot is increasing the gap between 4chan and Canvas.
