ef - a Fairy Tale of the Two

UK-based visual novel distributor MangaGamer has announced a new agreement with Japanese developer Minorin to distribute and localize the flagship visual novel title ef in English with translation group No Name Losers being retained to handle translation services.

The above agreement follows previous reports of the translation group and the Japanese developer engaging in discussions regarding the translation and unauthorized distribution of its titles earlier this summer. Both ef-The First Tale, and ef-The Latter Tale, which provided the basis for the the two anime ef – A Tale of Memories (2007) and ef – A Tale of Melodies (2008) will be released under the agreement. ef also features animation segments by acclaimed animator Makoto Shinkai (of 5cm Per Second fame) with illustrations provided by Da Capo illustrator Naru Nanao, adding to the star power of the production.

No release date for either ef game is available at this time.
