Lenovo has announced a new flat panel display television with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running Android Ice Cream Sandwich during pre-CES festivities.

The  K91 is a 55-inch 3D HDTV with an IPS panel running Android Ice Cream Sandwich with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon APQ8060 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, SD card slot, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Ethernet prot, HDMI and USB 2.0 ports. It will also ship with Lenovo cloud services, an app store with 100 apps installed on the display, video-on-demand, voice control and facial recognition with its 5.0 megapixel webcam.

Currently the TV is serving as a proof of concept for deploying standard Android onto TV sets outside of the Google TV superset of Android. The set is planned for release, but solid details regarding pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed for markets outside of China.
