Cencoroll Sequel Confirmed

According to Uki Atsuya’s blog, the sequel to Cencoroll has been confirmed and is currently in the scripting and storyboarding process.  The sequel is currently known under the working title Cencoroll 2 and will be near the same running time as the first film.

Cencoroll debuted in 2009 to wide critical acclaim based off of a one-shot story written by Atsuya Uki titled “Amon Game”.  The film was produced by Anime Innovation Tokyo with Atsuya handling writing, direction and animation duties. Cencoroll deals with the arrival of an amorphous creature in Tokyo discovered by Yuki, while deducing that the creature can also communicate telepathically, as his friend Tatsu also possesses a similar creature which he names Cenco.
