AT&T has begun offering prepaid DataConnect Pass service via Wal-Mart locations.

The new offering consists of the LG USB Connect Turbo modem at a cost of $129.99 and prepaid rates of $20 for 75MB of access over 1 day, $30 for 250MB over 1 week or $50 for 500MB over 1 month or until the data allotment is exhausted.

This follows the recent realignment of its data plans with the elimination of unlimited data access in favor of metered data access with its new DataPlus and DataPro plans, with the DataPro plan allowing for tethering for an additional $20 fee.
