Apple Releases Statement on White iPhone Availability

Apple has released a statement confirming that availability of the White iPhone 4 has been postponed due to unforeseen manufacturing issues encountered by the company.  The full statement is found below.

“White models of Apple’s new iPhone® 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.”

The statement follows the lack of availability of the White iPhone 4 for pre-order on top of the inventory issues expected for those that didn’t pre-order once the device officially launches tomorrow.
