MetroPCS Cancels Motorola Evoke QA4 Launch

Multiple sources have confirmed to PhoneNews.com that MetroPCS has canceled plans to launch the Motorola Evoke QA4 touchscreen slider, which was originally intended for launch in May due to “system issues” as stated by multiple MetroPCS employees and Motorola reps.

The phone was a surprise hit at CTIA owing to its foundation in a custom variant of the MING Linux platform used in China along with better than expected hardware which includes a responsive touch display. The phone is still slated for launch on competing carrier Cricket in the same aforementioned timeframe with no details on pricing at this time.
