Huawei has announced that it will launch its first unlocked mid-range Android smartphone through US retailers in the SnapTo, which features key specifications similar to the current Moto G.

The phone will feature Android 4.4 KitKat and is compatible with the LTE networks operated by AT&T and T-Mobile. Basic specifications include a 5-inch 720p HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM/8GB of internal storage, and a 2,200mAh battery. The main camera features a 5-megapixel sensor with LED flash and can capture 720p HD video. It also has a feature called Ultra Snapshot, which will automatically take a picture if the down volume button is pressed twice, even when the phone is locked. The front camera features a 2-megapixel sensor.

Starting today, the phone is available for pre-order on Amazon.com, with availability beginning next week. Also beginning next week, Huawei SnapTo will be available at GetHuawei.com, BestBuy.com, Brandsmart USA, Frys.com and Fry’s Electronic retail stores and Newegg.com for or around $179.99, depending on retailer.
